In June 2024, we invited our key stakeholders to discuss the potential for future developments of the Royal Gunpowder Mills site. The workshop was run by the King's Foundation and attendees included staff, volunteers, heritage experts, and representatives from Waltham Abbey Town Council, Epping Forest District Council, Lea Valley Park, Historic England, and Natural England. 

This report summarises the two-day workshop and identifies some areas where there is general consensus about the way forward. With this framework, WARGM can begin to work towards a sustainable mixed business model that balances our preservation of the site's natural and built heritage with the need for income.
